Reflection Of Pope Benedict

Thanking the crowd of 120,000 well-wishes on the 16th May(my b/day) who converged on St.Peter's Square, he express, "The true enemy to fear is sin, the spiritual evil that unfortunately sometimes infects even members of the Church." He expresses,"Christians are not afraid of the world;" though we ought to be careful of its "seductions" and for those reasons stay "strongly rooted in God and solid in goodness, love and service,"adding we should TRUST in the Lord and a renewed commitments to follow Him just has He said to Peter "follow Me".
Of the scandal, when he wrote to participants in Kichentag, on the theme of Hope, "at a time when wor;d' people are in need of hope, some are actually asking "if the Church really is a place to find it" he notes "weeds"do exist even in the heart of the Church and among those whom the Lord has welcomed into His service in a special way.  But the light of God has not SET, the good grain has not been suffocated by the seed of evil, and the Church continues to be a place where people hear the word of God, which "purifies us and shows us the path of faith".
EVANGELISATION:  "an urgent task in contemporary culture" and it is a difficult one; and be prepared for resistance, trial and even persecution when they announce Christ; but "no people or sector of society should be deprived of the light and grace of Christ". Of St. Paul who expresses the contemporary Christian's only weapon is the word of Christ and His cross, and that "persecution is the proof of the authenticity of our apostolic mission". Certain perennial requirement needed of its missionaries; evangelical poverty, which allows them to preach the Gospel with courage and honesty; non-violence-responding to evil with good; and a willingness to give one's life for the name of Christ and for love of others.
With regard to EVANGELISATION ""it is an urgent task in contemporary culture", notwithstanding in some ways difficult as it tends to exc;lude God. Today missionaries need to be prepared for resistance, other types of trials and even persecution as they announce Christ - meeting officials of Pontifical Mission Societies(Rome). The challenge here is "immense" especially because the modern age is marked by "a lack of wisdom and reflection and the spread of humanism that excludes God, adding that announcing the Gospel remains and "immeasurably service" because the Church "no people or sector of society should be deprived of the light and grace of Christ".
Like St.Paul : contemporary Christian's only weapon is the word of Christ and His cross, and "persecution is the proof of the authenticity of our apostolic mission".
Therefore, Holy Father stresses the "perennial task of evangelisation places certain requirements on the Church and its missionaries: evangelical poverty, which allows them to reach the Gospel with courage and honesty: non-violence - responding to evil with good:; and willingness to give one's life for the the name of Christ and love of others:.
AT FATIMA:
HOLY FATHER: the prophetic mission of Mary's apparitions these has not ended rather it has special relevance for a world still caught in a "cycle of death and terror".  At the Portuguese sanctuary, he said, that we would be mistaken to think Fatima's prophetic mission is complete especially at a time when humanity has succeeded in unleashing a cycle of death and terror' but failed in bringing it to an end.
Of apparitions, Holy Father offered a less personalistic perspective and the message it contained.
